Fleurs Friday

Flowers...Flowers...Flowers!
My favorite time of year has finally arrived and I can't get enough
of these intoxicating beauties!
I love mixing flowers with vintage details...
especially iron and statuary!

I found a motherlode of vintage iron recently that I plan to use in various ways...
(Besides selling some of it!)

I plan to white wash all these lanterns and maybe save them for
my daughters wedding!
They would be great as both candle lanterns and flower vases...

Here's another fun combination of an iron wire planter with a
fragment from an old iron garden chair.
The patina is amazing!

My Statuary Garden is finally coming along....
I will try to get a special feature on it soon! Here is one of my favorite pieces...
A Lichen Laden St. Francis...

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful time of year!

I love Craigslist!

Sometimes looking on Craigslist 24/7 pays off!
I found a gorgeous armoire from France...
Well, it wasn't so gorgeous when I found it,
but take a look at the transformation it went thru...

The mirrors were missing, but that didn't bother me...
I plan on using it as a display case, so it will be perfect!
If only I had a place to keep it for myself....;)

Here is a pic of the buffet I recently refurbished...
It's currently on display at Stars...I'm sure it won't last long!

Don't miss getting into Monticello to see all the fresh new finds!
"The Garden Show" continues until May 28th!

~So Divine~

My treasure hunting has lead me to some incredible finds!
I'm always on the lookout for authentic French furniture
to replace my reproductions, and I have unearthed
some really special pieces I wanted to share!!!
I've had my eye on this gorgeous commode for the last
six months, but was unable to connect with the owner until
last week...it was shipped over from France and was recently
photographed for a layout in Veranda magazine!
I've put it in my bedroom and wake up feeling like a princess!
I wish I had better photography skills, but
hopefully you can see how special it is!

Another special find is this beautiful French Carved Mahogany Bed...
I can't wait to get it set up in my guest bedroom!

Just yesterday I ran across another buffet that I plan to whitewash...
It has the most beautiful bones!!

And talk about beautiful bones...
Here's our newest addition to our farm!!
Little Essie!!

Too precious for words!
